Operant conditioning is a neuromodulation training method for modifying a behavior based on the consequence of that behavior. Simply, when the consequence of a behavior is positive, its occurrence increases. When the consequence of a behavior is negative, its occurrence decreases. What’s so cool about this method is that it can be applied not only to conscious behaviors but also to simple subconscious behavior like reflex behaviors.
We are excited to announce that Dr. Aiko Thompson will be giving a talk at the 2026 Rare Neuroimmune Disorders Symposium (RNDS) on October 17th, 2026!
The RNDS is put on by the Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association (SRNA). SRNA is a not-for-profit international organization dedicated to the support of children, adolescents, and adults with a spectrum of rare neuroimmune disorders including: Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM), Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM), MOG Antibody Disease (MOGAD), Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD), Optic Neuritis (ON) and Transverse Myelitis (TM).
